CORE Athletes is an outreach ministry of The Christian Community. In ministering to the homeschool community we found a lack of opportunity for homeschoolers to compete in high levels sports. In 1977, we founded the Raleigh Seahawks Homeschool Swim Team followed by Raleigh Hawks Basketball in 2002 and the Raleigh Hawks Baseball in 2004. The focus of CORE is to strengthen each athlete's walk with Christ.

Grace Children's Orphanage
Amalapuram, India
The Christian Community has been supporting the Grace Children's Orphanage since 2001. Founded by Indian native, David Raju Nethala, the orphanage now houses over 150 children and 100 widows. They also bear the burden of reaching out to the poor in their area, including a colony of lepers. We chose this orphanage because they are, for the most part, on their own, without any US missions support. When you send them a donation, it goes directly into their hands and is used exclusively for their work.
